Whether you want to accept it or not, everything around us started as nothing more than a vision, a dream, so to speak. The same applies to superyachts, and this next one is aimed at absolutely unrestricted travel to the world's most exotic destinations.
Folks, Studio Vafiadis is a design brand that's been around for quite a few years now, but what's more impressive is that this team has worked on and completed some of the world's most awarded vessels, including the O'Pari and the recently completed DOM 115, the latter being pure Italian luxury and taste.

Oh, and don't underestimate this studio's ability to make these dreams a reality. The O'Pari has its own renderings, the DOM series loans traits from other DOM renderings Vafiadis has cranked out, and many more. This means that the Explorer 70 stands a very real chance of becoming a real toy once the right buyer steps forth, of course.

Now, this conceptual machine doesn't have any information to accompany it whatsoever, so I'll be explaining what we see based on previous information I've acquired over the years. The first is this ship's class and its abilities.

As its name would suggest, the Explorer 70 is a ship designed to unveil the world to its owners and guests, and much like its real counterparts, the 70 is filled with expansive exterior decks offering unobstructed views of the world around, be it the Arctic or the Bahamas or the Antarctic.

As an explorer yacht, the 70's hull also required special attention. Here, Vafiadis created a beefy and reinforced breakwater, or in this case, a "break-ice," and towards the rear, a flat and wide aft means a low draft and stable ride, not to mention an expansive beach club.

From here, six visible decks take shape within the 70's design, five clear and well-defined, and the sixth, sitting atop the world and displaying a lounge from where a 360-degree view of the world around can be had. This is the place you want to be seen rolling in and out of port, a statement to anyone's financial backing.

One deck below, Vafiadis, continues with the expansive outdoor decks I mentioned and includes a helicopter pad and the owner's suite, ready with a walk-out to a forward-facing jacuzzi and private outdoor lounge. Imagine waking up here and looking out at icebergs or palm-tree-ridden beaches as you sit in bed; breakfast is waiting for you on the deck lounge.

Further down, the Explorer starts to offer guests access to larger interior spaces, but once again, with unrestricted views of the beauty outside. It's not clear what deck contains what space, but this could be the perfect place for that cream-white lounge and dining hall we see in the gallery.

Actually, come to think of it, the interior design renderings Vafiadis offers aren't enough to justify the amount of floorspace the remaining decks include, which, if you're an interested buyer, is to your benefit; customization is often a driving factor in any billionaire's superyacht purchase.

As for what we can see and know, one of the remaining decks includes a huge pool area with enough seats to accommodate all sun-loving guests onboard, but the real treat is taking a swim in a heated pool while the Explorer 70 is pushing through sheets of ice. Think of the Instagram photos and TikTok reels.

Now, you can tell a studio's level of experience by just how real their concepts come across, and as I dove deeper into the Explorer 70, I realized that Vafiadis has rightfully earned their title and placement in the yachting world.

You may have noticed that one of the images in the gallery depicts the Explorer 70 occupied by nearly an entire deck of toys and tenders, just like the majority of real Explorer Class vessels meant for the toy-loving millionaires among us.

With most, if not all, of the exterior out of the way, let's head back inside this concept for a moment; Vafiadis took the time to also develop ideas of an eventual interior. Just like the cream-tone dining hall I mentioned earlier, the rest of the rooms within the 70 display an open and modern interior, with rounded finishes to furniture, a big deal if you plan on moving around while the seas toss and turn the ship.

Depending on the room we're in, Vafiadis displays materials such as wood, textiles, marble, semi-precious metals, and a generous use of natural and artificial lighting, all working together to create spaces that are inviting and a damn pleasure to be in.

Speaking of a "pleasure to be in," take a moment out of your busy day and imagine yourself aboard the Explorer 70. Stroll through its halls, lay down on its beds, and have breakfast with the family and friends in that dining hall. After lunch, dress up, hop on a tender, and explore the edge of some frozen fjords. The next day, the captain announces that it's time to aim the Explorer 70 at the Caribbean, and off you go.

If you're a millionaire, reading this, and have the cash to get a project like this moving, what are you waiting for? After all, if Studio Vafiadis isn't the team to bring such a dream to life, I don't know who is.
