Exciting Honda Action Behind the Scenes of Skyfall

Skyfall is the latest episode of the James Bond franchise, and this time we've got exciting motorcycle racing for Daniel Craig's character.
While bikes chasing cars or bikes or vice versa on the streets of the world's cities is a thing you get to see in pretty much any decent action movie, the new adventures of 007 take things to a new level.

Bond is racing motorcycles on the rooftops on the Istanbul bazaar in a truly spectacular series of stunts performed on narrow tracks and without helmets and heavy-duty protective gear.

No other than Gary Powell, Skyfall's stunt coordinator has chosen the Honda CRF250R for this awesome chase as he believes that this bike is very close to perfection right of of the box and at the same time provides both power and exceptional handling.

Given the concrete tracks often less than 1 meter wide and numerous jumps, the bikes had to be both powerful and light, boasting excellent maneuverability. It looks like the Honda CRF250R fitted the bill perfectly and turning the standard red beasts into the desired Turkish Police and Street Merchants bikes went just great thanks to Chris Corbould's award-winning Special Effects team.

Go watch Skyfall and enjoy this awesome thrilling chase over the clay rooftops of Istanbul.
