As EBRis headed for the debut in the World Superbike this year, and this means their 1190RX will see plenty of European tracks, it was only natural that Erik Buell Racing opened an office on this side of the Atlantic. And this means excellent news for the European customers!
EBR's European foot landed in Alkmaar, a city some 42 km (26 miles) north of Amsterdam, and 200 km (124 miles) from the historic circuit at Assen. This foothold will make all the necessary preparations for creating a dealer network in Europe and starting distribution.
Not only the US and Europe will have the 2014 1190RX machine in the EBR showrooms: Australia is also on the list for the first shipments, due to arrive in Q1 2014.
The European office will also play a most important support role for EBR's WSBK rider duo, Geoff May and Aaron Yates.
