Although Ford has yet to lift the hood on any of its 2015 Mustangs since the redesigned pony car was unveiled last month, we’re finally able to take a look at the GT’s engine bay thanks to a couple of photos that surfaced the Internet recently.
The pictures uploaded below come via StangTV, who claims they were taken at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show earlier this week and sent to them by “an unnamed source” that was able to sneak in and take some snaps while the musclecar had it’s engine bay exposed.
Even though the Triple Yellow GT showcased in Detroit is only a prototype, it’s safe to assume that the updated 5.0-liter Coyote will maintain its basic layout. However, the photos reveal a different coolant bottle, a redesigned intake manifold, revised cylinder heads and camshaft. There’s also a different sweep for the air intake tube, as well as a smaller air box.
