They have the greatest cars in the world patrolling the city’s touristic areas, the largest shopping malls in the world and even a hydrogen-fueled tram. If there’s one thing UAE’s most luxurious city is missing that’s eccentric cooking served to travelers while they're sightseeing.
The Gourmet Bus is a hybrid vehicle that combines the forces of two high-end companies. One is a family spirit tourism firm established more than 80 years ago in Spain; the other is a leading destination management company based in Dubai. The vehicle itself is a $2 million worth coach that has been designed with the esthetics of a restaurant. It features a spacious area that boasts comfortable tables, a kitchen, and toilets.

Since it’s built for tourists to enjoy the sights while esteemed cooks prepare the best dishes they can think of, the bus has a glass roof that allows panoramic views. While the upper deck seats a total of 30 guests at 11 tables, the lower side features the kitchen, toilets and one further table seating four, which is reserved for customers with reduced mobility.

Every customer will be provided with an iPad containing comprehensive information about the tour translated into 11 languages. Guests will also have access images from the coach’s cameras mounted outside, as well as other forms of entertainment. During the tour, passengers will be cared for by multilingual onboard attendants that will also serve the lunch/dinner catered by professionals once the bus stops.

The tour itself will cover the city’s most popular attractions that include the Sheikh Mohammed Boulevard, Emirates Towers, Financial Center, Atlantis Palm and Burj Al Arab. According to Emirates247, the tour bus will start operating one trip per day for now, and it’s set to premiere its services by the end of this month.

As expected, such a service targets the well-heeled customers since getting on the bus will cost you a mere Dh400 ($108). Then again, if you can afford visiting Dubai, we’re sure you’ll have it covered.
