Donna Clarke Brown lives in the quiet village of Stretham, U.K., but one night, woke up to find her quiet village was quiet no more: a car had done a 720-degree flip over her fence and landed on her husband’s car.
The accident happened in April, but Donna is now releasing the video of it to the media, as a means to highlight the dangers of speeding and to pressure local authorities into lowering the speed limit in the area. She says this is just one of the many similar events caused by speeding in the past year.

In this particular case, no one was injured. The driver in the car that landed in her garden actually did a 720-degree flip with it in the air and landed on top of the car of Brown’s husband, but he emerged from the wreck seemingly unharmed and walked away. Before that, though, he stopped to pick up some stuff from the ground.

You have to see to believe this. The footage is also available at the bottom of the page, after Brown shared it with Cambridgeshire Live. She says the scene was worthy of a Hollywood action movie, and she has a point.

“My husband’s car was completely written off when he flew onto it. He said he was going 40mph, but a stunt driver couldn’t do what he did. It’s like something straight out of a Fast and Furious movie,” Brown says of the crash.

Brown also spoke to Bill Hunt, the Conservative councilor for Stretham on East Cambridgeshire District Council, to get authorities to lower the speed limits in the area, specifically at a nearby roundabout. Hunt says for the same media outlet that no amount of regulation can stop those people who pay no mind to the law, as was probably the case here.

“We are constantly reviewing our road network, but realistically, it would be difficult to miss the roundabout,” Hunt says. “If somebody is driving at a reckless speed in the middle of the night or early morning, what can you do? You can’t make everyone have common sense.”
