If you’re doing something illegal, it would be wise if you refrained from doing other things that might attract the attention of the po-po, as one couple from Milwaukee, Wisconsin found out last week.
Eric Kuehn and his wife Alexandria Kuehn were pulled over for speeding: at the time they passed a police car on Highway 151 in Grant County, they were doing 94 mph, WGLR reports. As it turns out, getting a ticket for speeding was the least of the Kuehns’ troubles because they were also carrying a lot of drugs and drug-laced products.
When the deputy approached the vehicle of the suspects, he noticed a strong odor of marijuana emanating from inside. A subsequent search of the car resulted in finding over 8 pounds of marijuana and large quantities of marijuana edibles and marijuana wax.
Both occupants of the car were arrested on a charge of possession of THC with intent to deliver, but are yet to be formally charged.
This isn’t the only recent instance when chance traffic stops have yielded unexpected findings inside vehicles. Just this week, police in Holtwood, Pennsylvania performed a traffic stop on a vehicle lacking license plates. They found inside 2 live grenades, a pistol and methamphetamine, and then discovered even more grenades at the suspect’s home.
He’s being held on various charges, including possession of a weapon of mass destruction. Not surprisingly, he also has an impressive rap sheet.
Prior to that, a man was stopped in Guthrie, Oklahoma because he was driving a Ford with an expired tag. Inside it was a container of radioactive powdered uranium, a rattlesnake, a gun and a half-empty bottle of whiskey. When news of the strange find broke, two weeks had passed since the incident but police were still trying to figure it out and had not yet charged the man for the possession of the uranium.
