Davis Cup World Group Final Gets SEAT Fleet

The Spanish carmaker announced that SEAT will be the official car at the Davis Cup, the 30-car fleet including the Exeo ST estate car, the Altea Xl, Alhambra and the sporty Leon Cupra models. These vehicles will be displaying the colors of the SEAT Sport team, the triumphant World Touring Car Champions 2009 for the second year in a row in both the manufacturers’ and drivers’ categories.

The Davis Cup final is scheduled to be held between December 4-6 at the Palau Sant Jordi arena in Barcelona, pitching Spain against the Czech Republic.

Besides the fleet of support vehicles, SEAT will also be exhibiting its model line-up at the Palau Sant Jordi venue both on the concourse level inside as well as on the grounds, with the Leon TDI WTCC on display at the entry to the arena.

SEAT is therefore increasing its awareness as a supporter of leading sports competitions, the brand also being the presenting sponsor of the UEFA Europa League as well.

Recently, the Spanish carmaker revealed details on a new fantasy football online game, which offers enthusiasts a chance to win a SEAT Ibiza ECOMOTIVE, one of the greenest cars today, emitting just 98 g/km of CO2.

SEAT is awarding the Ibiza ECOMOTIVE to the player with the highest scoring team between the first leg ties of the Round of 32 in February and the final on May 12, 2010. A second player will win two tickets and hospitality, as well as travel and accommodation, to the final of the UEFA Europa League in Hamburg.

There are also 15 matchday prizes up for grabs this season. An official UEFA Europa League match ball, developed especially for this competition, will go to the highest scoring player each matchday.
