Spaniard Dani Pedrosa took the checkered flag first, at the latest Moto GP race, in Brno, the Czech Republic. He was followed in second place by another Spaniard, Jorge Lorenzo, and Brit Cal Crutchlow in third. Pedrosa and Lorenzo swapped positions four times during the race, and they spent the entire race separated by less than four tenths of a second.
Towards the end of the race, in the final laps, Lorenzo decided to stay behind Pedrosa and launch his attack on the final lap. As they entered the final lap, Lorenzo made his move and grabbed first place, but in the penultimate turn he lost it again, and Dani Pedrosa crossed the finish line in the lead - 0.178 second behind.

Following the top three, Andrea Dovizioso came in fourth, followed by Stefan Brandl, Alvaro Bautista, Valentino Rossi, Randy de Puniet, Karel Abraham and Aleix Espargaro. Factoring in the early retirement of Ben Spies, as well as Casey Stoner’s decision to skip the Brno race, in order to have ankle surgery, mean that the championship has been relaunched.

After this race, Pedrosa still trails Lorenzo by 13 points, and with 6 races to go before the end of the season, it could be anybody’s title. We will keep you updated with the results from the San Marion GP, which will take place on September 16th.
