The Yamaha factory team rider, Jorge Lorenzo, took the win in very wet and slippery conditions this Sunday, during the Moto GP race held at Le Mans. He was closely followed by Ducati’s Valentino Rossi in 2nd place and Repsol Honda’s Casey Stoner taking 3rd.
The podium order wasn’t finalized until very late in the race, with Rossi passing Stoner in the final few laps of the race. This victory for Lorenzo puts him first in the rider’s championship, with 90 points, followed by Casey Stoner with 82 pointsand trailing them by a fair margin is Dani Pedrosa with 65 points.

With his latest win, Lorenzo surpasses Stoner, two weeks before they return to Spain (Catalunya). With this 2nd place, Rossi moves up from 9th to 6th overall, only two points behind his fellow Italian rider, Dovizioso - we just hope he can maintain the good form he’s shown in the Sunday race.
