When you’re 20 and have spent most of your childhood staring in movies, chances you take care of your stuff are really low. But the Effie Gray actress seems to have forgotten that her Audi Q5 works on fuel, since photogs recently captured her sitting powerless next to her SUV. Surprisingly, though, Dakota Fanning’s fame did rescue her after all considering passers-by helped her move the car to a safe place until daddy would arrive.
It was on Tuesday, when Dakota was left temporarily stranded in the middle of the road in Studio City, California, as her luxury SUV ran out of gas. Fortunately for the Very Good Girls star, the two men quickly stepped in to help her out, pushing the black Audi to the side of the road. Meanwhile Dakota was talking at the phone with her daddy whom she’d desperately ask for help.
Maybe the reason she forgot about filling up the tank was her busy schedule, considering Fanning starred in five different movies last year and is already working at this year’s first, Vienna and The Fantomes which is currently in post-production. But let us talk about the car in question for a bit.
We all know the Q5 is one of the most popular SUVs in Audi’s range, at least in America, but the time for a newer model is close. In fact, you probably heard by now that a new Q5 SUV will fight the good fight in 2016, when the improved MLB Evo platform will serve as its backbone.
Maybe the future model will come handy for Fanning, since the 2017 model year Q5 will move its back wheels using electricity. It’s called e-quattro and it’s a system believed to make a debut in the next A4 first. Still, Dakota's Q5 is the most expensive version of the current model, the SQ5, powered by a supercharged V6 pumping over 350 hp.
