If you want to be part of the tuning world and hang with the most extreme cars out there, you have to know at least the lingo used. One of the most popular expressions out there is ‘built, not bought’ and is meant to show the world that your car was done by your own hands and not bought altogether after someone else put in the elbow grease to make it look great.
This car is exactly that. Starting off as a stock BMW E92 M3, it evolved into something much bigger than than in a matter of months. Its dedicated owner started from the moment he ordered it, when he chose the Dakar Yellow as his preferred color.
After that he started with the tech bit, installing an ESS VT2 625 supercharger kit, taking the power output of the 4-liter V8 engine up to around 600 WHP. Of course, a new exhaust was needed as well, to keep up with the extra fumes so iPE’s titanium one was seen as fit to do the job.
You’ll also notice that a Liberty Walk wide body kit was installed with a full carbon fibre boot lid spoiler at the back and an impressive carbon fibre air splitter up front.
The wheels come from BBS (20 inch LM-R, re-barreled) while inside you get to sit in some nice Recaro CS bucket seats, re upholstered. Everything else inside was custom made with yellow double stitching throughout and custom diamond stitched rear seats. Even the floor mats are custom here with Dakar Yellow piping.
Overall, this is clearly a built car, decked with a lot of custom parts that really set it apart in the crowd. The best thing about it is that we get to see it in all its glory, in the gallery below.
