Dainese Rumored to Change Hands, Possibly Going Public

Dainese Rumored to Change Hands 1 photo
Industry rumors kind of expect the Italian protection gear manufacturer Dainese to change hands, at least partially.

Asphalt & Rubber
's spies got wind of a potential move towards massive investments from would-be financial groups aiming to develop the brand's market value.

Working hard for years to introduce rider airbag technology in their motorcycle gear, Dainese's advance in the field comes with a very lucrative potential which could indeed be expanded to more than two-wheelers.

Even more, Dainese's presence in the markets outside Europe is rather modest, though it has kept on becoming stronger during the past years. With solid investments, Dainese could expand their operations even in emerging markets, such India and South-Eastern Asia, places with a tremendous potential.

The same source mentions that the presence of interim-CEO Federico Minoli at the head of the company might hint us about a future move. Minoli was the man who got Ducati the Texas Pacific Group deal and later helped Borgo Panigale go public, so we can believe that Lino Dainese, of whom he's a good friend might have called him for a "cousin Vinnie" job. Time will tell... soon.
