Daimler AG Donates For Victims of the Philippines Typhoon

“With our donation we want to help quickly and without bureaucracy to alleviate the plight of the people of the Philippines. As a global company, we take our social responsibility, especially in such crisis situations, very seriously.” said Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars from under his magic mustache.

The donated money will be used by the German Red Cross to buy vital relief supplies, tents, hygiene kits, kitchen sets and plastic sheets for over 15,000 people.

“There are human tragedies to a dramatic extent in the Philippines. The survivors lack basic necessities. With the donation of Daimler, we can supply 15,000 people with vital supplies. We are very grateful for the commitment of Daimler,” said Dr. Rudolf Seiter, President of the German Red Cross

Apart from the money donation, Daimler AG has also asked its employees to make personal donations for the same cause.
