Customer-Owned 2008 Ferrari F1 Single Seater Crashes at Spa, Marshalls Don't Help Either

It's nor particularly hard to sit in front of a computer screen and make fun of regular people driving Formula One cars, but there are worse ways to pass the time. Especially when the people in question are filthy rich.
And they're making it easy for us. Just look at the clip below and try not to laugh, even though your conscience will be wagging its index at you for it. Nobody gets hurt, nobody loses his job - it's just some carbon fiber that has a bad day.

The (still) unfortunate incident took place on the Spa-Francorchamps track in Belgium during a Corse Clienti event, where wealthy friends of the Ferrari brand bring their track-only cars (actually, they just bring their wallets, it's Ferrari who comes with the cars) for a day or two of rubber and petrol-burning fun.

One such individual had a less fortunate time on the track, smashing his 2008 Ferrari single-seater into the protective barriers lining the circuit. The odd and also somewhat funny part is this happens in a straight line where the driver loses control - possibly due to violent braking? - veers left, and plows through the grass straight into the crash barriers.

But the really funny part is only just beginning. It involves the track marshalls who arrive on the scene to lift the damaged car. Either their car isn't properly equipped for this operation or they aren't, because I'm pretty sure that's not standard procedure when lifting an F1 car.

One of the marshalls is actually risking his life (well, most of it, at least) by hanging on the rear of the car to balance it in mid-air. That's another way of saying he's literally hanging his life on those straps holding the car.

The repair bill will surely be costly, and the final bump against the flatbed administered when the said mechanic lets go won't do anything to help with that.
