Ferrari had previously stated that the 499 units of the LaFerrari had been sold out, but it was obvious that it would take time until we found out who are the lucky ones that got to order it. Well, it appears that Cristiano Ronaldo is on his way to receiving a LaFerrari.
The local media reports that the Real Madrid player has already placed an order with a Portuguese dealership, choosing a blue finish for his hypercar. Nevertheless, we’d advise you take this with a grain of salt until the news source situation is... ahem... upgraded.
Ever since a man in Philippines bought a Ferrari F12 just to be allowed to acquire a LaFerrari, we all know that you need at least five Pracing Horses to be able to get the flagship. As for Ronaldo, he owns a 599 GTO, two 599 GTBs and a Ferrari 575. If the LaFerrari news is actually true, this means the either negotiated his purchase with a four-car ownership, or owns a fifth, unidentified Ferrari.
However, the financial side of the deal shouldn’t concern anybody, especially considering that the footballer now earns EUR21 million ($28.5M).
