We could tell that Corbin’s custom seats for the new 2014 Indian motorbikes have been a hit only by seeing another aftermarket product launched, for the same bikes. This time it’s the Corbin Trunk Box, a completely cool add-on for the Indian Chief Vintage and the Chieftain.
The Corbin Trunk Box provides massive storage and solid convenience for the touring Indian rider. With 47 liters (1.65 cubic feet) of plush padded storage, the Trunk Box is the perfect way to carry your laptop, and extra helmet as you ride to pick her up from home or office, and can also be extremely useful for overnight trips.
With design cues taken directly from the bike’s lines, the Corbin Trunk Box is also color-matched with the rest of the machine. It also comes with polished aluminium struts and a special rack for easy installation, including a padded passenger backrest and arm rests, covered in stitched genuine leather. The trunk is fully padded and also weatherproofed with a rubber strip.
Despite being made from very strong polyurethane, the Corbin Trunk Box is recommended for loads of 10 lbs (4.5 kg), so it is intended for more bulk and less weight. The trunk is also lockable. The OEM painted Corbin Trunk Box is available for $1,963 (€1,425) while the primer version is $1,754 (€1,274), in a variety of leather color options.
