A name better known in the sport bikes industry, Akrapovic is expanding the product line in the cruiser segment with new additions to the Open-Line range. The new exhaust systems are engineered to meet the increased power and torque demands H-D owners are looking for, while adding a hefty dose of extreme looks to the machines.
With a bold design and a tonal signature to match, the Open-Line Akrapovic exhausts are manufactured with the newest techniques and provide the same acclaimed reliability the Slovenian manufacturer has become famous for.

These exhausts are made from stainless steel and are available in chrome or black-coated. Offered as a complete exhaust system, the package includes the headers, mufflers, heat shields and even an optional noise-reduction insert for those who want to retain performance but without a big noise level increase.

With the new exhausts installed, the tested touring Harley gained 3.7hp at 5,270 rpm and 7.5 Nm (5.5 lb-ft) at 2,250 rpm. The weight saving is truly amazing, as the Akrapovic manages to shed 11.8 kg (26.1 lbs) from the bike. It weighs only 4.1 kg (9 lbs) compared to the stock 15.9 kg (35.1 lbs) system.

Among others, the new Akrapovic exhaust system fits Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, Electra Glide, Switchback, and Road King, among others. Being easy to install and requiring no bike modifications, this exhaust system can be mounted by the very owners. It comes with detailed schematics and explanations, and a special engine mapping is also available for customers who want the utmost performance from their machines.

Price is to be announced soon, most likely to be in the $700-ish (€510) range. Please be advised that this Akrapovic exhaust in non-CARB compliant, therefore illegal in California.
