Some people desire to adventure in a tiny home on wheels but don't feel prepared yet to plunge into full-time mobile living. One solution is building a camper, and whenever you're not using it, rent it out. That's what Rania does with her camper, which we'll be checking out today.
What we have here is a 2020 Ford Transit 250 high-roof converted into a (mostly) full-time home. Whenever Rania settles in one spot for a period of time, she rents the rig out to cover the costs of owning the van – more info about this at the end of the article.

The rig's exterior is finished in white paint. One notable feature is a Fiamma F45S manual awning, which covers the passenger side of the vehicle. But besides that, there's not much to talk about.

Pop the sliding door open, and you'll discover a cleanly designed interior – Rania opted for white cabinetry paired with various wooden elements. But, by far, the best design touch inside this van is the ceiling. The van's builder made a custom ceiling with laser-etched wood and various shapes that create a striking pattern.

There are a ton of features inside. To paint the best picture, I'll take them one by one, starting with a bench covering part of the entrance. Underneath it, you'll discover a drawer holding stuff for Rania's dog, as well as a small shoe storage spot. There's also a vent for a Webasto diesel heater.

Fitted into the kitchen counter near the small bench is a flip-up countertop extension. Not only does it significantly increase the available counter space, but it's also perfectly positioned for you to sit on the bench and enjoy a meal or work on the laptop using the extension.

Opposite this tiny bench by the entrance is yet another bench with an integrated adjustable and removable swivel table. There are also two spacious drawers underneath it. Because Rania wanted a spot where she could lounge (besides the bed), she integrated a flip-up extension into the small bench that connects to the opposite bench, thus creating a long couch.

One thing that helps this space feel more like a tiny home rather than the back of a cargo van is that the driver's cabin is separated from the living space via a partition wall with a sliding door. Furthermore, it helps keep the heat in and cold out and is an extra security and privacy measure, as people cannot peek inside. Above it, just like in most camper van builds, you'll notice an enormous headliner shelf.

Next, we have the kitchen split into two parts, one on each side. It features a big fridge/freezer, a decently sized countertop, the extension I mentioned earlier, and a black sink with an extendable faucet. By the way, the water inside this rig is supplied by a 20-gallon (76-liter) freshwater tank, and it ends up in a five-gallon (19-liter) greywater tank mounted underneath the van. Rania also devised a valve right next to the sink that drains the greywater tank underneath the van – a simple yet very useful feature.

Rania also found a clever way to integrate a dual-burner, propane-powered stove – she installed it underneath the countertop on the passenger side. She can pull the countertop, which is mounted on slides, to reveal the stove.

For storage, Rania uses various cabinets and drawers, including three huge overhead cabinets and three drawers under the bed. There's also an enormous pull-out pantry, which features a large mirror with adjustable lighting on the inside of the door. One of the cabinets under the stove holds an OGO composting toilet, which can be easily cleaned and emptied out.

The van's control center is fitted right above the main door. It comprises a battery monitor, an inverter controller, a heater controller, switches for the lights and water pump, and a WeBoost cell signal booster. A nice touch is that each switch/controller is labeled, so the people who will rent the van will know exactly which is which. An additional switch for the propane canister and two outlets are integrated into the wall behind the stove.

Even though the bed is positioned slightly higher up, you don't need a step to get on it. However, because Rania travels with her 13-year-old dog, she devised two pull-out steps under the fridge to help him get into bed. What's more, they can be locked into place and come with two storage spots underneath the panels.

The last part of the living space is the bedroom at the rear. It consists of a custom full-size mattress, two large overhead cabinets, another large cabinet space, dimmable lights, and two USB charging points. There's a sliding-screen window on the passenger side that comes with a wooden cover painted with a simple yet beautiful mural. A minor detail, but it adds some personality to the rig. Moreover, the skylight above also has its own wooden cover. The last aesthetically pleasing touch in this space is the wall on the driver's side, finished with a floral/plant design that serves as an eye-catching pop of color.

To access the garage under the bed, you'll have to open the van's two rear doors. Just like on most camper vans, there's a large space in the middle to store bulkier items, while the sides are occupied by the utility systems.

On the left, you'll find the propane locker with a 15-lb. (7-kg) tank. Behind it, Rania devised the electrical system, consisting of a 2,000 W inverter, 200 Ah batteries, fuses and breakers, a DC-DC charger, and a solar charge controller connected to 800 W solar panels on the roof. On the opposite side, you'll discover the plumbing system featuring a 20-gallon freshwater tank and a water-fill port.

All in all, this is a charming tiny home on wheels with adequate utilities and a ton of storage space. Rania has been traveling full-time in it for the last few months, but she has recently settled down in Brooklyn, New York. As I mentioned, she is now renting her camper van – she is asking a pretty low sum of $165 (€152) per night because of two reasons: it's currently off-season, and she's trying to rack up reviews to attract more customers.

This rental has a 6-night minimum stay, but you can get discounts if you rent it weekly or monthly. Oh, and you'll also have to pay a $750 (€691) deposit. Other notable details regarding the Transit van are that it runs on gasoline and sports an automatic transmission. You can learn more about the rig and its renting conditions on Rania's listing.
