Toyota, a name to be reckoned with across the global automotive industry, has a special place in its corporate heart for North America – especially the encompassing and rich US market. As such, is anyone surprised by the model introduction galore?
Since the start of the year, we have seen – among many small novelties – heroes like the 2023 Prius Prime 'Hybrid Reborn' in mighty 220-hp plug-in hybrid form, the 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid, an entire 2024 Corolla Nightshade family, and special series like the 2024 Corolla GR Circuit plus GR86 Trueno or GR Supra 45th Anniversary Editions. Then there are also the superstars – the 2024 Grand Highlander three-row crossover, plus the 2024 Tacoma!

But no worries, the company is not slowing down just because it's summer. As such, the social media channels are hard at work campaigning for the next big reveal – both with throwback-style ideas and even an official old versus new teaser. And it all revolves around the return of the Land Cruiser nameplate to America after a short (yet thoroughly despised) absence caused by the thought that the J310 Lexus LX would be enough to quench the thirst for full-size 4x4 Japanese off-roaders. Well, as the hot welcome for the 2024 Lexus GX revealed, the American public thoroughly misses these mighty machines.

As such, although there's no set date for the official reveal, the rumor mill has gone berserk in its quest for information regarding the next Toyota Land Cruiser. For now, the most important details are already out in the open – it's the Land Cruiser Prado (aka the 250 series) coming to the United States and Europe, not the J300 Land Cruiser that's already out and about, plus the model will be twinned with the all-new GX 550 – at least in terms of platform, if not the powertrains. The latter, instead, will all be of the four-cylinder variety – both diesel and gasoline, with or without forced induction.

However, first impressions are made based on looks and grit before we get to the underpinnings and what's hiding under the hood. And that means taking a peek at the exterior and interior design, right? Well, if that can't happen in the real world just yet because the old vs. new teaser was too dark and mysterious, then the imaginative realm of digital car content creators will undoubtedly come to the rescue, right? And on more than one occasion, of course.

That's decidedly valid for the good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube, who have (again) imagined the CGI looks of the upcoming, fifth-gen 2025 land Cruiser Prado (250 series). Based on the official teaser, the resident pixel master cooked up the unofficial exterior looks of the new installment in the 4x4 saga, and then also, based on the GX, they drew some CGI conclusions regarding the potential feel of the cockpit. But that is not all, of course.

Instead, the host also attracted our attention to all the available official and unofficial information while also going through the channel's much-beloved and already traditional color reel. The latter gives plenty of character to the imagined 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (250 series), and if that is not enough, they also quickly compared the looks of their digital creation to the real world's J300 Land Cruiser and 2024 Lexus GX 550 for quick CGI measure. Cool, right?
