Chrysler Appoints Beth Ann Bayus Head Internal Branding

American manufacturer Chrysler announced the appointment of Beth Ann Bayus, former Internal and Product Communications executive, as head of Internal Branding. She will report to Gualberto Ranieri, Communications vice president for the group.

Bayus, which holds a bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Bowling Green State University and a master's degree in Communications from Wayne State University, will be responsible for communications strategy for all internal stakeholders and retirees, as well as responsible for leading communications for World Class Manufacturing communications.

She will replace Lori McTavish who, according to Chrysler, will pursue other interests.

"We want to thank Lori for her tireless efforts during the many years with our company, including one of the most difficult periods in Chrysler's history," Gualberto Ranieri said when announcing the appointment. "We extend to Beth Ann our best wishes in the next phase of her career."

In a somewhat unrelated story, Chrysler named two days ago individual advertising agencies to manage the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram Truck brands. The efforts to make Chrysler a new company in the eyes of the consumer are Fallon for Chrysler, Wieden + Kennedy for Dodge, GlobalHue for Jeep and the Richards Group for the newly established Ram brand.

"To establish a distinct identity and build upon the current brand equity, it is important that the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram Truck brands retain individual agencies that fit with the brand direction,” said Olivier Francois, President and CEO, Chrysler Brand and Head of Marketing, Chrysler Group.
