The Bentley Bentayga is the luxurious SUV that so many people love but which only a few actually get to drive, given its insane price.
And because the Bentayga remains just a dream that would never come true for so many people, how about another luxurious SUV that would be available with a price that’s much lower?
This could be the Chrysler 300 SUV envisioned here in renderings created by artist Kleber Silva and shared on Behance a few hours ago.
The concept, which is based on the Maserati Levante, is unmistakably a Chrysler, and the headlights themselves have been borrowed from the 2019 Chrysler 300. The grille dominates the front fascia, and the Chrysler logo is one of the first things that you notice when looking at the car.
While the side could look like a generic SUV design for many, it actually fits the envisioned 300 SUV just right, pushing the luxurious feel to the back where we find the same familiar design completed by a quad exhaust system.
If anything, the renderings point to a model that could perfectly fit Chrysler’s lineup, especially given it features its signature design from so many angles. And it goes without saying that the company does have the engine lineup to power the SUV, and one good choice would obviously be the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that currently generates 363 horsepower (it’s available as optional on the 300).
The base Chrysler 300 is offered with a 3.6-liter V6 that offers just 292 horsepower but given such an SUV could be aimed at the upper premium market, the Hemi appears to be just the right choice. The 8-speed automatic transmission offered on the 300C could make its way to the SUV too.
It goes without saying this wouldn’t necessarily be an affordable model, albeit it’ll obviously be cheaper than Bentley’s Bentayga. As a matter of fact, the 300 starts at $29,590 in the base configuration and reaches $42,000 in the top version.
