Chrysler 200 Convertible Photo War on Facebook

Last week, the Internet was buzzing with excitement as the first images (a full gallery, in fact) showing the new Chrysler 200 Convertible were made public by, of course, an insider. Forced by the circumstances, the American manufacturer made public all the details and photos of the vehicle a few days later, apparently well ahead of the scheduled unveiling.

Now, we had a look at the photos, and we bet you did too. The Chrysler 200 Convertible is a car, while the photos are just that, with no aspiration of them ever becoming works of art. Yet, these photos are the result of a man's hard, sweaty work.

As any human who does something good, the guy who took these shots is quite proud of them. As a natural consequence, he is also very pi***d because someone did exactly that on his work.

On the official Facebook page of the NotBland Automotive Photography group, the guy who shot the 200 Convertible lashes out at the “misguided idiot somewhere outside of the fantastic marketing team at Chrysler,” who leaked the photos.

“Many of my photos were leaked online yesterday, weeks in advance of the meticulously scheduled unveiling. Five weeks of careful planning and logistics by the crew destroyed in an instant, by one selfish arrogant douchebag who got a hold of the digital files before the CEO was set to review the images,” the author says in a long post on the Facebook page.

Our guess is that this photographer is probably new in the automotive world. Leaking is a part of the industry, perhaps just as important as auto shows. But, if it's worth anything, photographer, we enjoyed your photos very much. Hope to see many more, if possible also in advance of the official unveiling.
