Ladies and gentlemen drifters, as those of you following the slip angle world closely have noticed, Chris Harris has recently gotten his skilled hands on the Porsche 911 R and we're here to give you a complete picture on the matter.
It all started with the story we recently brought you, which saw the British journo comparing the 991.2 Turbo and the 911 R - we'll remind you that Chris said the PDK bearer is better, but we have to pay attention to the details here, as he mentioned the "best car Porsche currently makes" distinction.

And while including the 911 R in that statement (the Brit mentioned that) might make some confused, talking about the most potent car overall is one thing and indulging in the three-pedal pleasures of the 911 R is another.

In his latest video, Chris Harris takes one of the world's 991 units of the mighty R to the Anglesey Circuit. And since the man loves comparos, the story also involves the also-2017 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S.

However, as delightful as the Aston Martin naturally aspirated V12 swansong is, we're here to focus on the Zuffenhausen machine. The heavy tire smoker behind the wheel is surprised by the manual special's dancing abilities, while also machinegunning us with words of praise for its electric power steering, a feature that, like many of us, Chris doubted back in 2012, at the beginning of the 991's life cycle.

Alas, we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves here, as some of the details we mentioned are found in the full video - since Chris Harris now delivers his driving conclusions under the Top Gear banner, the clip coming from his Chris Harris on Cars Youtube channel, which you can find at the bottom of the page, is only a trailer. For the record, the full video also sees the two machines being enjoyed on the road. And no, TG doesn't want its videos to be embedded.

Nevertheless, we get to see both stick shift monsters getting manhandled on the overly smooth Anglesey asphalt, with Chris' footwork shining through, despite the footage not including a pedal angle. Okay, we'll stop the spoilers here - after all, the 911 R is a wingless animal.
