A newly opened hotel in California is trying to adapt to 21st century’s trends introducing a few tech features customers would most likely be interested in. People using their services can order a pillow, control the thermostat, order room service and valet their car by simply using an app. Yet, the coolest feature by far is the fact that they are also offering Tesla Model S P85D rides for those who want to keep things green.
After all, Elon Musk’s popular car is the world’s fastest-accelerating four door electric-juiced ride and also the first electric premium sedan. And since it also comes with a 265 miles range on a single charge, the manager of the Chicago hotel decided to try something different.

Tesla is the hottest electric car on the road right now, and we’re elated to provide our hotel guests with this chic house-car service while also helping to reduce our carbon footprint,” Doug Carrillo, Vice President of Sale & Marketing at Virgin Hotels said in a news release. The newly opened hotel will offer guests car service seven days a week to select areas in Chicago.

It appears having this service is part of a bigger scale sustainability program the company has. Other initiatives include an extensive green roof of live plantings, ample LED lighting sources, Energy Star kitchen appliances, daylight sensor lighting control and more.

Driving their residents with an EV capable of hitting the 60mph mark in 3.2 seconds might sound like a rare thing to Chicago, but let us remind you there are a lot of cities around the planet that have already build up impressive cab fleets composed of Tesla Model S cars and that they continue to expand their services.

Sure, nothing is as funny as that Tesla Model S owner who posted an ad claiming he’s willing to host people in his car, turning the EV into a bed at night, but it’s good to see some companies are seriously looking forward to a cleaner world.
