General Motors is seemingly ready to kick off a highly electrifying new year when 2021 arrives – and we mean that both literally and figuratively. Cadillac aficionados will get high-performance models with 3D-printed goodies, the Super Cruise technology is expanding across the other brands, and the group is promising no fewer than 30 new electric vehicles by 2025.
We have already wondered on more than one occasion about the proper way GM resurrected the Hummer name with the GMC Hummer EV, and even caught glimpses of the Silverado-sized Chevrolet “BET Truck” via official and unofficial teasers.
General Motors also promises many EVs from its premium and adventurous brands – Cadillac and GMC taking the point – but let’s face it, the brunt of the sales will come from two directions: crossovers and the Chevrolet brand. As for the latter, that means one name: Bolt.
Naturally, we already know that besides the facelifted 2022 Bolt hatchback, Chevrolet is also getting ready to bring to life an all-new crossover – the Bolt EUV. The company has already teased the model on a number of different occasions, and now it’s time for its marketing people to join the TikTok social media craze.
As such, here’s the first (or maybe the second, if we count the 2022 Bolt EV that was caught on someone’s dashcam) look at the new signature lighting technology of the Bolt range. The 2022 Bolt EUV’s teaser comes courtesy of “automotive content creator Pushing Pistons.”
I, for one, have no idea if he’s famous or not – so far, the TikTok madness hasn’t caught up with my social media bubble (perhaps I’m getting too old...), but I have a feeling Chevrolet studied the case in advance.
There aren’t too many details aside from the fact that Chevrolet managed to get the Bolt EUV turn signal lights and the DRLs work together during the same sequence. We can expect all to be revealed by the time Chevy puts the “Electric Utility Vehicle” in production come summer 2021, though.
