Chevrolet is the most searched for automotive brand in 2015 in the United States of America, a Google Trends report shows.
The Silicon Valley giant has released its “Google Trends” report for 2015. In the automotive department, Chevrolet scored four top-ten spots, two of them being at the top of the podium. As it turns out, the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu was the most searched for car on Google in the United States of America this year. The second most often looked up car on Google in 2015, also on American soil, was the Chevrolet Silverado.

The third spot on the most searched car models list in the USA was the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. Then, on fourth place, we can find the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. The fourth Chevrolet model to make Google’s 2015 Trending Car Models was the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, which got an eighth place.

Between the Camaro and the Colorado, the following car models were the most searched for on Google in the USA: Honda HR-V, Fiat 500X, and Jeep Renegade. After the Colorado, the ninth place on Google’s Trending Car Models Report for this year was the 2016 Lexus NX. Finally, the tenth place was taken by the 2016 Hyundai Tucson.

On a global scale, Volkswagen’s emission scandal gathered over 13 million searches. Unfortunately, Google’s Trends interface doesn’t show us what was the most searched car model in the world in 2015. But we now know that Adele was the most often looked up music artist and that the iPhone 6S was at the top of the list when it comes to consumer tech.

A brief look into Google’s Trending 2015 report shows that the number one most searched term was “Lamar Odom,” who also grabbed the top spot for the most searched person in 2015. For those who don’t know, Mr. Odom is a former professional basketball player.

Furthermore, the most popular actor of 2015 according to Google is Charlie Sheen, while the most searched actress is Ruby Rose. Ronda Rousey was the most searched for athlete and Jurassic World occupies the first spot when it comes to movie-related searches on Google in 2015 in the USA.
