One might say that the digital artist who rendered this C3 Chevrolet Corvette into a badass restomod focused on the visual side of the deal. However, we can always use a different perspective: the eye-catching virtual mods are but a tribute to the V8 animating the machine. After all, the third generation of the 'Vette, which was built between 1968 and 1982, did feature a wide variety of eight-cylinder hearts throughout its life, with displacements ranging from 305 ci (5.0 liters) to 454 ci (7.4 liters).
At least to these eyes, the hardware that now sits at both ends of the motor's combustion cycle makes for the sweetest eye candy. It all starts with a pretty large hole in the hood, which is there to accommodate a supercharger that features a Garlits Streetcatcher scoop, with those barndoor butterflies looking like they could suck out all the air around the car.

As for what happens after the air-fuel mixture does its job inside the engine, the traditional side exhaust of the Corvette Stingray now features a twisted design, which is nothing short of an attention magnet.

Timothy Adry Emmanuel, the digital artist who came up with this contraption, left his emotions run wild for this one, as he explains in the description of the Instagram post below: "This is probably the least efficient supercharger today, but nothing looks cooler than a bug catcher sticking out of the hood in my eyes."

With all the added power, the handling department also needed an upgrade, which comes from the widebody approach, American Racing Wheels and all.

Now, checking out the shot that seems to have been taken from a drone (the photorealistic nature of the rendering can't be ignored), we notice that the old interior is gone, having been replaced by something that sticks to the badge, albeit while traveling forward in time; yep, a C6 Corvette donated its interior for this virtual build.

Oh, and if this proposal looks a bit like a full-size Hot Wheels, it's probably thanks to the fact that the pixel master has been in this exact mood lately.
