Cherry Red Alfa 4C: Best Concept at Villa d’Este

At this year’s Concorso di Eleganza in Villa d'Este, Alfa Romeo took home no less than four awards, but since we’re modern car lovers with a passion for turbocharging, we’ll only focus on the one received by the 4C.
The Italian automaker never got round to releasing actual official footage, but thankfully the 4C was captured on film by Marchettino, an Italian supercar spotter, who attended the event. As you can see, the concept car is wearing brand new cherry red paintjob, an Alfa trait, and the Italian flag on its mirrors. The repaint of the concept and the elegant shape of the car is what probably won it the "Design Award for Concept Cars & Prototypes" by referendum of the public in Villa d'Este.

This sportscar is only 4 meters long and features a mid-engined layout. Fiat Group is finding it hard to put the production version on the market, and the 4C has been repeatedly delayed as has the return of the Alfa Romeo brand to the US. However, we’ve been promised a 1.8-liter turbo engine with 300 horsepower and a lightweight chassis made using carbon fiber, so it’s totally worth our wait.
