The Alfa Romeo 4C is a truly stunning car in terms of the way it looks. It looked great in its studio shots, but it looks even better outside, with natural light giving a new dimension to its curves, creases and dimples.
It is an exquisite piece of automotive art, which fortunately won’t be relegated to the realm of the one-off concepts, as it’s actually getting built and is expected to reach dealerships some time in 2014. It is built on a mid-engine chassis, which enabled the designers to get the car’s proportions just right (because of the lack of a bulky engine up front for designers to have to work around). No other mid-engined car, be it a concept or not, looks as good as the 4C.

Speaking of engines, the car is expected to get the 1.75-liter turbocharged engine currently found in the Alfa Giulietta QV, but it’s power output will be increased to around 300-hp from the Giulieta’s 235-hp output, to make full use of the car’s (hopefully) excellent chassis.

Enough talk, just enjoy the pictures and appreciate the dying art of properly designing a car.
