If the title of this story got you confused, we'll remind you that Caterham, the known car manufacturer and make of those sexy Sevens got it’s name after it’s location, Caterham in merry oldEngland, where the first workshop was established.
The location in the center of the town was first used as Caterham’s principal factory, and then became only as a dealership for the company, after production moved to a new facility Dartford.

Now, however, the British government reported approved plans to turn the historic home of Caterham into a retirement home. The showroom is being moved to nearby Three Bridges outside Crawley until Caterham can find a new location.

While the news may be sad for nostalgic anglophiles, Caterham is looking at the future. Out with the old, in with the new is what we say.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
