We all know it by now: carbon fibre is the material of the future. The applications of this lightweight and yet strong material are wider than anyone expected at first, especially in the composite shape of CFRP.
BMW recently announced that it will be investing €200 million in its CFRP manufacturing capabilities in Moses Lake and that they will be using this material in every model to come.

Even so, many people own older cars that won’t benefit from the advantages brought on by these news and the measures taken by the Germans. What’s out there for them, then? Well, taking things into your own hands always helps.

If you’re wealthy enough, you can even go the route this guy did, turning his car into a nearly half Carbon Fibre, half metal creation. The man is hailing from Indonesia and his car is absolutely crazy.

What you’ll immediately notice is that light doesn’t seem to reflect properly from the bonnet and the front bumper of this car. That’s because the clear coating is not there any more, being replaced by the lightweight material we’ve been talking about earlier.

The bonnet and front bumper came from Arkym and are made exclusively from carbon fibre. Round the back, the trunk wears the Vorsteiner signature and the wheels are basically unmistakable: 19” BBS RI-D in hyperblue.

Under those wheels hides a set of Brembo 6-pot calipers that give away the fact that the engine bay was also tinkered with. That’s where a BMW M Performance intake was installed alongside a Viezu remap and an IPE exhaust.

The changes haven’t been focused on the outside alone, though. Inside, a world of luxury awaits, quite unique to our eyes. Quilted red leather goes all around, from door panels to seats and even headrests while the the steering wheel was also changed with an M Performance one that blinks wherever you set it to.

Wood inserts finish the interior design, adding a touch of elegance to the mix that normally we wouldn’t like but somehow makes sense in this combination.
