Before you get all excited about finally catching me off-guard and filling the comments sections with words like “no”, “such” “thing” “1M hatchback” and others, let me explain myself.
I know BMW never made a 1M hatchback but what would you call a BMW E87 1 Series with an N54 twin-turbo engine and the complete 1M Coupe exterior aerodynamic kit? Yeah, I thought so...
That’s not all though. On top of the 340 HP engine, the Bimmer also received an RB turbo setup, Active Autowerke BOV and charge pipes, a new intercooler, a quad Eisenmann race exhaust, AKE air intake, Cobb tuning ECU remap and AR Design downpipes.
On the outside, the car received an Attacama yellow wrap, the aforementioned 1M front bumper and side skirts and a BMW performance rear spoiler. The wheels setup comes from Advan Racing.
Inside there’s plenty of BMW Performance parts, like the front seats, steering wheel, short shifter and even the hand brake knob, whilst the iDrive and CIC systems were retrofitted.
In the end, a truly unique car emerged that makes its owner smile every time he drives it, even on the shortest trip.
