Remember the wild old days when YouTuber used to jump aboard supercars and muscle cars for the usual nighttime highway street racing session? Well, such things still happen and we've brought along a recent session that took place over in Canada, with the racers getting their fair share of police action.
The summer night that hosted the event saw plenty of racers getting together - in fact, the cars and bikes were so many that they even afforded to split and race in separate groups.
However, it didn't take lonh before members of each group got the red and blue lights. And, judging by what we can see in the piece of footage documenting the race, it looks like the cops didn't manage to convince too many speeding fans to pull over - it looks like a 650 hp Mercedes E55 AMG that was there to teach Hellcats about the German roots of the Challenger platform was the only one that got caught.
Then again, other drivers went to great lengths to avoid a conversation with the officers, with this including maneuvers like reversing on the shoulder of going for a top speed run on the highway.
The racers even went as far as stopping traffic to bring some diversity to the session - we're talking about adding standing start races to the mix.
If you happen to be in a hurry, you should know that the police action kicks off at the 4:30 point. However, the rest of the clip is also worthy of one's attention, as, for instance, the hostilities kicks off with a race between a 1,150 hp supercharged C6 Corvette and a BMW S1000RR.
Oh, and should you wish to engage in such actions, we'll remind you that Need For Speed Most Wanted, which came out back in 2005, still involves the best police chase action in the series.
