The guys from Nissan kept their word and brought the 2015 Micra to Canada, making it available in three different models, the Micra SV, S and the SR.
The debut took place at the Montreal International Auto Show and according to Nissan Canada president Christian Meunier, the Micra was especially designed for the Canadian automobile market.
Yes, it seems that this car is perfect for the Canadian driver, as Nissan tested it to see if the vehicle will resist in the typical Canadian driving conditions. So, if by any chance you are from Canada, and you find Nissan’s Micra to your liking let us tell that you’ll have to wait a bit more for the pricing, as it hasn’t been announced.
Concerning its equipment, the 2015 Micra looks pretty good, featuring heated outside mirrors, 60/40 split rear seats as well as rear heater ducts. Under the hood, the car comes with the same engine as the one found in the Nissan Versa sedan, a 109hp 1.6-liter 4-cylinder unit mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission, or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
We have to say, it’s quite a good start for Nissan as the Micra has been absent from the Canadian market for 20 years now.
