Cadillac has made great strides in rejuvenating its image in America, but to bring in the really big bucks, they have to target the Chinese car market. Their sister company Buick sells more in the People's republic than it does in the United States, so not having a full lineup there means Cadillac is mission out.
These low-resolution photos show the Cadillac ATS compact executive car being tested in China ahead of its market launch there during the second half of this year. The first cars will be shipped from the US and should be quite expensive at CNY300,000 or $49,000 at today's exchange rate. That's the price of the base 2.0-liter turbo model with 270 hp.

In 2014, Shainghai-GM will open a new factory and start local production of the TS, thus dropping prices to more acceptable models. According to carnewschina.com, a new base model will be launched with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine making way below 200 hp.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
