Earlier this year, Florida-based rapper Rod Wave crashed a new Chevrolet Corvette Z51 so hard that he suffered brain bleeding and facial injuries from the severity of the impact. The seriously damaged vehicle wound up on Copart, and as it happens, a YouTube vlogger won the auction.
Judah Findley is the second owner of the Ceramic Matrix Gray-painted sports car, which has seen better days from a visual standpoint. While waiting for a few replacement parts to arrive, the man behind the Judah’s Garage channel had a LOL-worthy idea. More to the point, he decided to repair one of the doors with ramen noodles, hot glue, Bondo filler, and a can of spray paint.

Of course, this isn’t a permanent fix but a just-for-laughs antic that serves two purposes. First things first, ramen noodles aren’t great for repairing a damaged passenger door. Secondly, we can all agree that YouTube vloggers are going to great lengths to increase their views and the subscribers count.

The horseplay goes into overdrive towards the end of the following video. More to the point, Judah has added hardcoded subtitles that read “the paint is so good” and “looks identical to the other door.” Although it starts up and drives, the C8 Corvette still doesn’t have a front end at the time of writing.

Still waiting for pretty important parts like frame rails, Mr. Findley appraised the vehicle at his local CarMax out of curiosity. Even though it has seen better days, the mid-engine Corvette was quoted at $25,000 by the largest used-car retailer in the United States of America. In other words, that’s less than a third of the original value. As a brief refresher, the coupe with the 3LT trim package retails at $71,945 including $1,095 for the destination charge.

Pricing remains pretty much unchanged for the 2021 model year, but Chevrolet did adjust a few things here and there, including the most popular optional extras. The Z51 Performance Package and E60 front suspension lift, for example, now cost $5,995 and $1,995 instead of $5,000 and $1,495.
