Bugatti Veyron Taken to 218 mph / 351 km/h on the Road

Being able to buy hypercars that know what the true meaning of 250 mph (402.5 km/h) is great, but, as you know, one rarely has the occasion to stretch the legs of such a car.
Thus, we are happy each time we get to witness such a moment and we are dealing with such an occasion now. The video above shows the owner of a Bugatti Veyron who aims for a high speed run.

In the description of the Youtube clip, the man tells us that the 1,001 hp machine was able to hit 233 mph during the play session. However, he explains that this was not caught on camera, but he did manage to record the car while doing 218 mph (351 km/h).

There will always be concerns about such runs taking place on public roads and here’s what the driver had to say about this: “The following run was performed on a closed section of road out of the country and under the control of skilled specialists and under supervision by professionals.”

We’ll remind you that the standard Veyron can hit a top speed of 258 mph (415 km/h), while the non-limited incarnation of the Super Sport model managed to go all the way to 268 mph (430 km/h) on VW Group’s Ehra-Lessien track in Wolfsburg, Germany.
