While it may not seem so at first sight, the Dodge Charger and the BMW M6 serve similar purposes. From the old Mercedes-Benz E-Class platform underneath the SRT machine to the way in which the Charger Hellcat and the M6 strive to deliver cozy velocity thrills, there are plenty of similarities between the two.
Sure, these go-fast behemoths are also separated by more than one aspect, from the premium aura of the M Division beast to the price tag difference this brings.

Nevertheless, when the two meet for a drag race, their similar speeding abilities are all that matters. And this is precisely what happens in the video at the bottom of the page, which sees them engaging in a half-mile adventure.

Both rides happened to have gone down the tuning route and, to continue with the similarities between them, bolt-on mods were installed on the Bimmer, as well as on the Charger.

We're not aware of the exact tech goodies that were used in the upgrade process for these hefty beasts. Even so, this is the point where we have to remind you that, in stock form. Charger Hellcat asks its 707-pony blown 6.2-liter V8 to haul 4,439 lbs, while the 3,770 lbs of the BMW M6 are moved around by its 560 hp twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8.

The speeding adventure described here took place on an airfield runway, which means all the drivers had to worry about was keeping the throttle mashed to the floor, especially since the Hellcat followed the M6 down the two-pedal road.

As mentioned in the title, the clip brings a 360-degree take on this rushing matter and, with the Charger packing a massive rollcage, you should be in for a fun rotational adventure, with the Hellcat being used as the camera car.

And regardless on which side you're on, you'll have to agree that, aurally-wise, this was the obvious choice. So make sure you turn up the volume before moving any further.
