The 4 Series range will get serious upgrades this spring, including a new model and xDrive for certain Convertible models, for even more performance in the segment.
Starting with March, the 4 Series Coupe line-up will be welcoming a new diesel variant, the 425d. Featuring a 2-liter turbocharged engine making 218 HP and 450 Nm of torque, the new 4er will be coming with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard and an 8-speed automatic as an optional.
The 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint will be done in 6.7 seconds with the manual gearbox and 0.2 seconds faster with the 8-speed unit, whilst the approximated fuel consumption is rated between 5.0 to 5.1 liters/100 km for the manual (47-46.1 mpg) and 4.7 to 4.9 l/100km (50-48 mpg) for the auto.
The 430d model will get the all-wheel-drive xDrive system in 3 months, making it even faster, with a 5.2 second sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) with the automatic 8-speed gearbox. Fuel consumption is expected to be rated somewhere between 5.2 to 5.4 l/100 km (45.2-43.5 mpg).
The 4 Series Convertible will get xDrive for the first time, in the shape of the 428i xDrive model. The new car will do 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 6.5 seconds and return an average fuel efficiency in the vecinity of 7.1 l/100 km (33.1 mpg).
Last, but not least, the 4 Series range will also be available with BMW Individual features for the first time, combining elegance with the pleasure of driving. New Individual paints will be added to the already available range alongside new features for the interior like Merino leather steering wheel, extended BMW Individual leather trims and leather wrapped instrument panels. The Individual range will also be available for the 3 Series Sedan and Gran Turismo starting in spring.
