After a 8 week pause for the teams that were competing in the Le Mans 24 Hours race, the American Le Mans Series will resume, this time at the Lime Rock Park Raceway, in Lakeville, Connecticut, on July 6th.
For BMW, this is one of the most important circuits in America, the German company even naming one of their limited edition M3 models after it. This time, there will be two Z4 GTE models racing on the hot tarmac.
Going into the race, RLL Team's driver, Dirk Muller leads the driver standings by 3 points and is joining forces with John Edwards, behind the wheel of the no. 56 Z4 GTE, as Joey Hand prepares for the DTM event that will take place on July 14.
"We’re looking forward to Lime Rock because I think that of all the circuits we will race on this year in our current spec, this track probably suits us best because it’s really a handling circuit,” said Bobby Rahal, Team Principal.
