The Lausitzring was the place of rebirth for BMW's DTM history. In 2012 BMW managed to secure its first win in 20 years on the German track. This time, they are going in hot.
Two weeks after the historic 1-2-3 win achieved at Spielberg, the guys are even more optimistic about this weekend's race. Bruno Spengler, Marco Wittman, Timo Glock (the winners) and the rest of the drivers will be racing in the fourth race of the season.

Last year BMW drivers not only claimed the number one spot on the podium at the Lausitzring but they also won valuable points that won them the title in the end. That time it was Spengler that finished first and he's expected to deliver the same performance this year.

BMW is currently the leader in the Manufacturer's Championship, with 171 points, whilst in the drivers' standings Bruno Spengler is leader with 53 points followed by Mike Rockenfeller from Audi Phoenix with 41 points and Augusto Farfus with 33 points.
