Out of the bunch of special edition models to be launched on the last naturally aspirated M3, the Lime Rock Park Edition seems to resonate best with the American public.
Why? Because it was specially designed and sold in the US and only 200 of them were ever built. Furthermore, it was named after a track in Connecticut where the special edition M3 was tested before it's launch
All of the LRP Edition Bimmers were painted in the company's special Fire Orange color and came prepared with a whole range of carbon fibre performance parts like the roof, front splitter, rear spoiler, side mirrors and so on.
Furthermore, the exhaust system was replaced with a Inconel-titanium BMW Motorsports Exhaust that adds 5 HP. Not much of of a power increase but considering the weight loss factor, the LPR M3s are pretty quick.
The video put together by the guys from Car and Driver showcases all these attributes and more. Enjoy!
