Ever since BMW launched its first SUV back in 1999, the world found out that you can have the best of both worlds with a Bavarian car. The dynamics and agility of a sports car were perfectly combined with the versatility of an SUV.
After a while some new models popped up, like the X3, the X6 and the smaller, crossover car, the X1. At first, many were reluctant towards the X1 but after a while, the crossover became one of the best selling cars BMW ever had on the US Market and not only.
Just yesterday, the BMW USA Youtube Channel released a new commercial for the X1, even though recent numbers show that the car is making a name for itself lately.
However, the main purpose of this commercial was to show that what makes the X1 a great car is not the luggage space or its extremely versatile features but, most of all, the 'sheer driving experience' you get while behind the steering wheel.
We're not so sure about the way they decided to emphasize that aspect, especially since they did it by claiming the car has good brakes. Ok, they are important in order to get a great driving experience, but maybe this wasn't the best choice for a commercial. What do you think?
