It took a while but finally, we have the total numbers for BMW sales around the world and guess what: another record breaking number came up. Overall, the BMW sales in August grew by 14.8 percent over last year's 8th month.
A total of 139,648 BMW vehicles were sold in the 8th month of the year, a 18,020 units increase, further adding to the total year-to-date increase of 7.7 percent in sales. At the moment, for 2013 BMW can claim sales of 1,246,528 units.

As for BMW brand vehicles, the sale increase rose to 15.6 percent, adding up to 118,743 units compared to last year's 102,742. The biggest demand worldwide was recorded by the 3 Series that was sold in 34,943 units, followed by the 5 Series with 28,364 units and the X3 with 10,532.

“The BMW Group achieved an all-time high in sales for the month of August. For the very first time, we sold over one million BMW brand vehicles in the first eight months of the year. The company is well on course to attain growth in sales for the full year," said Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, Sales and Marketing BMW, at the 65th International Motor Show in Frankfurt/Main.
