BMW Brand Sales Grow 45.7 Percent in the US in August

As the BMW Group sales went up 35.4 percent during last month, the BMW Brand car sales went up an additional 10.3 percent, reaching a growth of 45.7 percent in August.
With such a rise, the total sales reached 24,523 BMWs, 7,688 units more than in the same month of last year. Therefore, year-to-date, the BMW Brand sales went up 14.8 percent, reaching a total of 188,997 units compared to 164,636 units sold during the first 8 months of 2012.

The massive boost in sales was carried by the popularity of the  3 Series that went up 66.9 percent (10,357 units sold), the F10 5 Series that went up an amazing 158.2 percent (4,359 units sold), the 6 Series with a 67.8 percent increase (to 760 units) and the record breaker 7 Series that grew by 172.6 percent to 924 units sold.

Even pre-owned vehicles' sales grew, by 19.2 percent, reaching 16,706 units sold, compared to the 14,012 units sold in August of 2012. With the new results, the year-to-date growth of the pre-owned vehicle's market reached 8.5 percent, selling 118,259 units compared to the 108,952 cars sold in the same period of last year.
