China is one of (if not the) most important markets in BMW's portfolio. Their sales in the Asian country recorded record-breaking levels in the last few months and soon, the People's Republic of China will become the Bavarians' number one market.
The German company didn't overlook this matter and in the last 2 years released a couple of limited edition models to celebrate the stunning success of the brand in Asia. After the Tiger Edition and Matte Edition M3s, the Carbon Edition model was launched.
Only 111 units of the limited-run variant were ever built and they were quite expensive, prices reaching almost USD200,000. The special features of the car included CF roof, high-gloss chrome trims, contrasting white and black leather with white stitching, black wheels, an auto scanner, a carbon fiber kit, carbon fiber rear spoiler and Carbon Edition logos almost everywhere, including the doors.
Under the bonnet things remained the same, the S65 engine delivering the usual 420 HP and 400 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque through the 7-speed DCT gearbox. Such a car is rarely seen and as soon as we got hold of these photos, we had to share them with you. Enjoy!
