BMW decided that India shouldn't be the only Asian country where the 1 Series was released this month. That's why Malaysia joined the game and just received the new 1er, in 3 model variations.
According to Paultan.org, the 1 Series line-up will include the 116i, 118i and 125i models. The entry-level one, will start at RM171,000 (USD54,000) and will offer Malaysians a 1.6-liter engine with 136 HP and 220 Nm of torque, returning a fuel consumption of 5.8 l/100 km (40 mpg).
The 118i on the other hand will be delivered for a starting price of RM190,800 (USD60,600), has the same engine turned up to 170 HP and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque and returns a fuel consumption identical to the one of the 116i.
The range topping 125i has a 2-liter turbocharged engine with 218 HP and 310 Nm of torque that takes the car up to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.2 seconds and takes only 6.3 liters of gas per 100 km. Prices start at RM238,800 (USD75,800)
Standard features include six airbags, xenon headlights, fog lamps, parking sensors, Driving Experience Control (allowing you to choose out of 4 driving modes: Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and ECO PRO), EfficientDynamics features (automatic Start/Stop tech), Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
