BMW is a very highly thought-of brand, in China, where they have managed to sell an impressive 264,884 units of its BMW- and Mini-branded offerings, from January of this year, right through to October. This marks a 35% increase over the previous year, and it shows that the Bavarian automaker’s local appeal is only set to grow.
Now, they have announced an ambitious plan, to sell a total of at least 1-million cars over the 2012 - 2014 time span, which, according to a Germany-based spokeswoman “is realistic unless the market deteriorates. If conditions remain as they are, then yes, it is a fair estimate.

Despite an evident slow in the Chinese luxury car market, after several years of great increases in sales, BMW sales rose by 52% last month, when they managed to shift some 27,828 cars. Their effort was helped by the locally-built X1, as well as the long-wheelbase version of the 3-Series sedan.
