The sales numbers for May are in and BMW posted yet another record number on its press website. One of the best selling cars for the Bavarian company is still the 3 Series, as it has been since it was released back in 1977.
The guys from Torque News did an interesting cover story about the 3er, a couple of hours before the numbers were out, making a strong case to why the BMW is still the best in its class, despite what others might say.

The thing that got them thinking was the award the F30 won last week, from Automobile Magazine, the so-called 2013 All-Star Award. Winning this award in front of the stiff competition it faced, was even more impressive for the Bimmer.

Making a strong case for the 3 Series wasn't a hard thing to do. After all, during its 36-year life span, the 3er won multiple awards and was always regarded as the best of the best by everyone in the industry.

To top it all off, the M3 is the ultimate driver's car and always was. Even though BMW is currently looking to replace the traditional naturally-aspirated engines on the M3s with turbocharged units, we're pretty sure things won't change.
